HTML5 Comments
I forgot to post it on here, but I had an article go out on Smashing Magazine last week about HTML5. It was really cool to write; I learned a ton and I can’t wait to do another (already signed on for a 2nd one with them).
I’ve done 7 official articles outside of by own web site, on various topics and I can safely say I’ve never worked so hard and research so much as I did for this HTML5 one. It was an absolute monster to write, and I loved doing it.
There were a lot of HTML5 articles going out the week before mine did and I wanted to make sure I offered up something different, but still making sure I mentioned all the important things. So I tried to steer the focus towards the more useful side of HTML5 (right now), which is mobile development.
Overall I’m really happy with the comments, 90% of them were really great. There were a few people who chose to focus on the negative, but whaddya gonna do right? It’s a pretty hot topic and honestly, I was expecting a 50-50 split on the comments.
So, I’m happy with how it turned out, I’ll definitely proof read a little more next time :)
